Went and visited Rollins College over the weekend. Extraordinary campus, food, and curriculum; I fell in love with it. And two days ago, I would have written an extensive blow-by-blow of my Saturday. But thanks to a chat with my mom, I'm left back to a feeling of neutrality towards it. She reminded me that though there wasn't anything that we saw to dislike, it was still a small college; a state university might be a better experience for me. The anonymity versus the scrutination may be more comfortable, or more challenging. Either can only help. Regardless, FSU and Rollins College are my top two choices, both for the creative writing program.
I tell my friends I want to be an author, and the first thing they say is that I'd starve to death. T_T
